[ Vanish ]
Taking the art of skillful retreat to its highest form, a thief or ninja can
instantly vanish from the sight of an attacker, even in the midst of heated
battle. This skill will leave no trace of the direction in which the user
fled. It will also disguise the direction the user fled, leaving the opponent
no clue of where the user of this skill has gone. To those of quick wit, this
skill can be extremely useful and powerful.
Vanishing pits wisdom against wisdom. The more wise the vanisher is, the more
likely he/she will be able to make quick decisions on when to try to escape
battle and when not to.
[ Vicious Fist ]
Using only one's hands, a trained martial artist can deliver a series of
devastating blows to an opponent. The pure speed and ferocity of this attack
will quickly send even the most heavily armored knight in swift retreat. This
skill requires the hands to be free, and will do additional damage, as the
strength of the character improves, as well as improving as the character gains
more experience in the realm.
[ Virile behest of restoration ]
Usage: virile behest of restoration
The power of the paladin is great. The power of a holy paladin is even greater.
It is within the paladin's power to call forth strengths that are instilled in
their moral fibers to do wondrous things. Yet, calling forth these strengths
sometimes have costs to that very moral fiber that bring them.
In order to call forth virile behest of restoration, a paladin must have
perfect alignment and a great deal of endurance. In addition, due to this
ability being so powerful, some of the paladin's alignment is drained in the
process of calling it forth.
The power itself grants the paladin greatly enhanced powers of healing. The
paladin will be able to heal more and heal more quickly than before. The
effectiveness of the behest is based solely on the paladin's intellect. The
recovery time before being able to use another behest is based on the paladin's
constitution.
[ Vtshinne's Frenzy ]
Vtshinne was a tracker of legend. In her time she was able to master many of
the elements of the wildlife including having a keen understanding with
animals. Among Vtshinne's studies, she noted the power of the Wolverine. This
power has been formalized into Vtshinne's frenzy. With it, one is able to
attack in a much more fierce and accurate manner, but mostly, will increase
their vitality in massive amounts. Vtshinne was able to sustain months of
travel without ever seeking rest or requiring healing. This is the entry point
into her studies. Vtshinne's Frenzy, is a tool like no other and is used by
most trackers. As the tracker grows in intellect and wisdom, unearthly affects
have been known to transpire from this skill.
[ Valkyries Agility ]
It has been known across the realm that the agility of the Valkyrie comes from
within. The Valkyrie sisterhood has always placed much weight on the strength
of their mind, and by doing so, they've been known to be able to mentally
improve their own personal abilities through their "mind over matter"
techniques. Valkyries agility is one of the many abilities that call on the
Valkyries great mental strength (willpower) to reinforce their control of body.
Once a Valkyrie has true control of mind, the power they can attain from this
simple skill is unimaginable.
[ Vehemence ]
Barbarians display anger in a variety of ways, this is the most common.
Vehemence draws from the nature of barbarians allowing them to maintain a
level of rage even outside of battle. A barbarian can use vehemence to
temporarily increase their strength and their applied damage. As vehemence is
not combat oriented it draws from the barbarians constitution to maintain
their anger for long durations of time. The higher the barbarian's
constitution the more strength and applied damage they will be able to
gather. As the barbarian becomes more experienced the longer they will be
able to maintain their vehement nature.
